Lauren Luke Foundation Brush Review

Hey Beauties

A while ago now I did a brief review on my Lauren Luke makeup brush collection and I've been asked a few times to do a fuller review on the foundation brush so I bring you just that today.

This is what is said about the product "The dome shape helps achieve a flawless finish and enables you to get right into all those awkward areas of the face. It is also an ideal brush for applying cream based products because the hairs are synthetic."

You can purchase the brush on it's own from the Lauren Luke shop website by clicking here  the foundation brush on it's own is £6.00 this is not including postage and packaging. You can also get the foundation brush in a set with all of the other brushes eight in total for £33.75 and this includes getting your pencil brush for free.

As you can see the brush is very professional looking and works as good as it looks.

Likes and Dislikes

The foundation brush is very easy to use as with some brushes I have used in the past they have been hard to hold and grip whilst applying makeup but with this you can get a firm grip and it's comfortable to use.

I have found that no matter if the foundation is a higher end brand or a drugstore foundation the brush works well and I get a gorgeous finish to my skin.

The brush does exactly what it says it does it gets right into all of those awkward areas which can sometimes be hard to cover with foundation.

The brush is so soft and gentle to the skin and makes putting on makeup so much more fun.

Using the brush gives such an even coverage.

I only have one negative about the brush and that is if it isn't cleaned properly after every use I find that my foundation can look streaky. So this might be a problem for those who don't like to clean their brushes everyday and I know everyone has their lazy days myself included.

Overall

I've tried many foundation brushes over the years but this one is my total favourite I haven't found a brush that is as soft as this one. The price of the brush is amazing you are paying £6.00 for such a professional brush. I have recommended this brush to everyone as I believe it is to such good value and does an amazing job.

Do you have a favourite foundation brush?

I have not been asked to write this review all opinions are my own and I was given the brush as a christmas gift.

OOTN Holiday Edition #2

Hey Beauties

On the second night of my holiday for some reason I always feel so tired I think the travelling from the day before starts to catch up to me. So on the second night I always feel like I want to wear something that is quite relaxed and casual. I would say here in the UK I would wear this outfit as a OOTD rather then an OOTN but I think you can get away with dressing more calm and casual whilst your away.

This is what I wore on the second night of my holiday...

Earrings - Local Boutique
Beaded Bracelets - For a set of three - New Look
Top - Primark
Linen Pants - Primark
Sandals - Wynsors

My linen pants always find there way into my suitcase they have to be the most comfiest pants in the world they are so light and floaty. I saw this top in Primark a few days before my holiday and I thought it would look perfect with my linen's. The back of the top is see through with the cheetah print on too.

What do you think of casual evening wear?

May Favourites

Hey Beauties

As we fast approach a new month I thought I'd share with you my favourites with you for the month of May.

Kindle
Before I got my Kindle I was so against them as I always thought nothing can beat a nice new book but my Fiance got me one for my birthday this year and I've never looked back, they are so much more practical. What I love about the Kindle is you aren't left with books you have read cluttering up the place, I have also found that Kindle books are much more cheaper to buy then an actual book, they are so great for travel I can't tell you how much I loved lazing around the pool with mine. I was worried that it was going to look electronic whilst reading but the screen just looks like an actual book page it's amazing. You can also get some pretty covers for them too.

Revlon Lip Butters
I think just about everyone has tried the Revlon Lip butters now they have been a big hit here on blogger and  on Youtube. They have also been a big hit with myself my favourite has to be the shade cotton candy it's a beautiful natural shade of pink with a little sheen to it which is a perfect shade for daytime. They make my lips feel super moisturised when applied. The only down fall I would say is that they don't last long on the lips and I have to keep reapplying. But overall I'm a big fan.

Engagement Ring
How could my engagement ring not be in my May favourites it symbolises the best day of my life so far getting engaged to the man I want to spend the rest of my life which is pretty special. I can't stop looking at it the diamonds they are always sparkling I just think it's gorgeous and I love it so much.

Lauren Luke Angled Liner Brush
I tend to use this brush to fill in my brows and before I got this brush I never really bothered with my brows now this brush helps to define them and helps to make them look more polished looking. It's really easy to get a more defined look using this brush. I like how I can use this brush to do my brows but also I can use it for different things like using it to apply eye liner too.

L'Occitane Amande Huile De Douche Shower Oil
This shower oil is just amazing the smell is unbelievably gorgeous and if I use this in the morning my skin smells of the fragrance all day. It creates a gorgeous lather and leaves me feeling fresh and clean. I like to use  this product alongside the Bonne mere soap in honeysuckle which can be found here

So those are this months favourites what have you been loving this month?

OOTN - Holiday Edition #1

Hey Beauties

Today I'm going to start off with my holiday outfit of the nights to share with you what I wore on my holiday with my fiance.

We didn't arrive at our hotel until 5pm Turkish time and Dinner was served from 7pm onward so on the first night I planned to wear something not too dressy as I didn't have that much time and I didn't want to rush as we had been travelling for 6 hours. When we arrived it was raining which wasn't something I wanted to see on holiday thankfully the rest of holiday was red hot. This is what I opted for on the first night...

You may recognise this outfit from a previous OOTD I wore it on my Birthday but I changed a few pieces for my holiday. I love this outfit because it's smart but casual but it has a dressed up feel to it.

Top - Select
Trousers - Select
Earrings - New Look
Bracelet - New Look
Sandals - Primark

What do you think of my outfit?

Miss soon to be a Mrs

Hey Beauties

I'm back blogging in my usual routine from today (I hope) it feels good to be back I'm finally starting to get back into reality after a crazy few weeks.

If you didn't see my previous post then the title of this post might just give it away. I thought I'd start off my holiday posts by sharing the most amazing part of it with yous.

Me and my Boyfriend went away about two weeks ago now to celebrate our 5 year anniversary of being together. On our fifth night in I got the shock of my life when my Boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to me.

The Story
At the beginning of the holiday whilst lounging around the pool a man came up to us who worked in the hotel, his job was that he worked in the photography shop in which you can get some professional pictures taken. So we agreed to get the pictures taken and he booked us in for 7.30pm on the fifth night of our holiday. I was happy about this as I thought to myself I might have a little tan by then and it will look nice on the photos.

Tuesday came and me and my Boyfriend went down to the photography shop to begin our photo session the man said it would take about 45 minutes and he took us around lots of different places in the hotel grounds. The hotel we stayed in was amazing and I would go back every year for sure it was set on different levels and built into the side of a cliff it was stunning and the views were amazing. We started the shoot around the pool area and ended up finishing on the beach just as the sun was setting.

The man taking the photographs said that he had taken the last photo 410 photos later. Then my boyfriend Brandon said to the man can you take one more? I just looked at him and said what do you mean take one more as he had dreaded getting his photos taken since we had booked the session. He then got a small box out of his pocket and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

I went in to total shock and I could not believe it of course I said yes hehe I was crying and it was such a beautiful moment and we managed to get a snapshot of it as it happened which is the most perfect momento from the holiday ever.

So I am now engaged to the most amazing man ever and I can't wait to be his wife.

Here is a picture of my ring it's stunning and I love it so much.

Here is a little collage of some of the photos we had taken and of course I had to add the photo of the proposal.

Such a magical week I shall never forget.

Has anyone else had a beautiful proposal or what would your dream proposal be?

I'm Back

Hey Beauties

Hello Hello Hello!!!

How are you all?! I've been away from blogger for what seems like ages. In fact not just blogger but the laptop in general. My life has been a bit of a whirlwind as of late and I haven't found the time to really do anything involving technology other then the occasional tweet or Facebook status update.

I thought I'd fill you all in on what I've been up to and why I haven't been blogging and such before I carry on with my usual posts.

First of all a lot of you know that I went on holiday with my Boyfriend to celebrate our five year anniversary of being together we got back last Friday and we had the most amazing time. The hotel we stayed in was just a dream and I can't wait to go back for future holidays. Whilst we were away celebrating our 5 year anniversary I got the shock of my life when my Boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to me. I just couldn't believe it I was thinking about doing a post on what happened and how he did it so if you are interested in reading all about it then let me know. I took so many snap shots whilst I was away and me and my boyfriend or should I say Fiance hehe had some professional photos done as well the one above is one of them so I may do a post on those too. I also plan on doing a post on the outfits I wore on holiday in the evenings too as I know a lot of you enjoy OOTN posts well I have a whole weeks worth to share.

Since getting home and seeing everyone it seems I haven't had any time to do anything other then catch back up with everyone and go back to the dreaded place I call work. My Auntie is still fighting cancer too so it's been important for me to spend some time with her. It really has been a total whirlwind and I'm just starting to get back to reality now and fit this short post in to let you all know that I have missed you's and cant wait to start blogging and catching up on all of my fave blogs too.

I also received my first ever Glossybox today I was so excited when it was delivered and I wasn't dissapointed so I may do a post on that sometime in the near future.

So everything's going well at the moment and I've got a big smile on my face everyday which is amazing.

I'll be back starting blogging properly on Monday so I shall see you all then.

Love, Like and Loathe

Hey Beauties

Here is what I'm loving, liking and loathing this week...

Love
Holiday Countdowns
I'm super excited as it's now less then two weeks until I will be jetting off on my happy holidays with my amazing boyfriend who booked the trip as a surprise for us for our 5 year anniversary. There's no better feeling then a holiday countdown, I really can't wait.

Like
Good Hair Days
Don't you just love a good hair day. I came across this picture and it's so right. I always have a good hair day when I don't have anything planned and when I have a big night out planned my hair never turns out the way that I want it too. I wish I could have a good hair day everyday.

Loathe
April showers
How depressing is the weather please I'm sick of looking out of my window at the rain where did all of the nice sunshine go?! I saw on the news last night that this month has seen the most rain fall in the month of April. I can totally believe it bring back the sunshine!

What have you been loving, liking and loathing this week?
